Nour Al Marifa Association Holds Evaluation Meeting for the First Phase of the One Survivor Project

Nour Al-Ma’arifa Association held a comprehensive evaluation meeting for the first phase of the “Sole Survivor” Project, chaired by the General Director, Dr. Abdel Jalil Ghrab, with the participation of the project coordinator, Ms. Nidaa Abu Jrei, alongside the field research team and several project staff members.
The meeting included an in-depth presentation of the field research findings, which formed the initial foundation of the project. The team reviewed data collected through 450 field visits to surviving children in the Middle Governorate, providing a detailed explanation of the indicators identified and the primary needs observed during these visits.
Project Coordinator, Ms. Nidaa Abu Jrei, emphasized that this phase represents the fundamental basis for launching the upcoming stages of the project. These stages will include a series of activities and programs across multiple domains, such as psychological support, in-person educational instruction in Arabic language and mathematics, and social follow-up, ensuring a comprehensive and effective response to the needs of the targeted children.
The social research and psychological counseling team also presented several key recommendations, most notably:

The urgent need for immediate intervention and the provision of all essential services for the surviving children.

The importance of unified efforts among official bodies and community actors to support the children and help them restore their psychological and social stability.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the General Director, Dr. Abdel Jalil Ghrab, stressed the importance of continuing efforts on all levels to protect the surviving children and ensure they reach a safe and stable environment. He expressed his hope that the project will continue to grow in order to provide full care for this highly vulnerable group.
